Ilse Philips – Passementerie Weaver & Textile Artist

I design exciting and one-of-a-kind handwoven home accessories — from art plaids, wall hangings to tea towels, bespoke textile home accessoires. I also organize creative textile classes to organisations. My work combines artistic craftsmanship with a strong commitment to sustainability: I use a variety of natural, luxurious, and leftover yarns to create striking, colorful tactile designs with minimal waste.
These materials bring beautiful, organic irregularities to each piece, giving every item its own unique identity and character. The result is artisanal home decor with a true wow-factor — expressive, textured, and made to elevate any interior.
I grew up in the Belgian countryside with my parents and younger sister, and now live in the Netherlands with my husband. My love for weaving, nature, and thoughtful design is rooted in those early years surrounded by calm, craft, and creativity.
Whether you’re an interior designer, magazine editor, gallerist, or simply looking for that perfect handwoven piece — I’d love to hear from you. My passementerie weavings are fully customizable and can be tailored to suit any space or concept.
